High Point: The Inside Story of Seattle’s First Green Mixed-Income Neighborhood
Tom Phillips
Published 2020
In High Point, urban planner Tom Phillips recounts the story of the development of Seattle’s first green, mixed-income neighborhood. Tom had finished the manuscript. We did some content development work and ran the production. Tom’s book is full of images, graphs and charts and we had fun coming up with a pleasant interior style that presented both written and visual content.

STORY
I am a retired affordable housing developer who had a nonfiction manuscript that I wanted to publish into an attractive, respectable book. I knew my material needed a good edit, and I was tired of being rejected by traditional publishers. I engaged Publishing Partner and I am very pleased with the resulting book. The writing is crisp and clear, and the inside and outside of the book look great.
We spoke over the phone about every two weeks for about six months and got through the process relatively efficiently. I had to make a few changes to names after the book was published, and Bethany accommodated that. I have not found any other mistakes in the text, which says a lot about the editor on the team.
I do not plan on writing another book—one is enough for me–but if I did write another book I’d use Publishing Partner again and I highly recommend them to other authors.
